MBNA Member Types: Please review the member types below and determine which applies to your business before proceeding with your application.
Retailer: A proprietorship, partnership, or corporation whose primary business is the sale of memorials to the public. Retailers must maintain a display of full-size monuments and markers and a storefront open to the public during business hours. Retailers have shop facilities and personnel (or equivalent arrangements) for lettering and setting monuments and markers carried on display.
Retailer firms cannot be located in a cemetery, funeral home, or on property with special tax privileges. They must sell and install monuments in all cemeteries, not just to the clientele of one particular cemetery or funeral home. Any branch location owned by a current MBNA retailer member can receive branch membership and gain all member benefits except voting privileges.
Manufacturer/Wholesaler Division: Any business entity which quarries and manufactures granite or marble for monumental purposes and sells predominately at wholesale shall be eligible for MBNA membership. Any branch location owned by a current MBNA manufacturer/wholesaler member can receive branch membership and gain all member benefits except voting privileges.
Supplier/Bronze Division: Any business entity which manufactures and/or brokers supplies, goods and/ or services and bronze products for monumental purposes and sells predominately at wholesale shall be eligible for an MBNA membership. Any branch location owned by a current MBNA supplier/bronze member can receive branch membership and gain all member benefits except voting privileges.
Affiliate Membership: Available to any non-profit organization, governmental agency, or technical training institution which has an interest in the memorialization industry. They must work to further the mission and purpose of MBNA. Affiliate members shall have rights and privileges as established by the Board of Trustees.
All MBNA members must agree to and adhere to the Code of Good Practice.
